Cambridge Biomedical Research Centre "Distinguished Visitors" 2018 Lecture Series
The overall strategy of the NIHR Cambridge Biomedical Research Centre is to harness the strengths in biomedical science within the Cambridge University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and University of Cambridge partnership in order to translate fundamental biomedical research into clinical research that can be useful to patients.
The NIHR Cambridge BRC is hosting a further round of lectures by experts from around the world. The lectures take place at the CRUK Cambridge Research Institute Lecture Theatre in the Li Ka Shing Centre on Robinson Way.
Each lecture covers a topic from a broader theme reflecting each one of the research areas studied at the Cambridge Biomedical Research Centre i.e. Antimicrobial Resistance, Cancer, Neuroscience, Mental Health, Dementia and Neurodegenerative Diseases, Cardiovascular and Respiratory Disease, Metabolism Endocrinology and Bone, Transplantation and Regenerative Medicine, Women’s Health and Paediatrics, Population Quantitative Science,Integrative Genomics, Imaging, Inflammation, Infection and Immunotherapeutics and Capacity Building.
