Why are we getting dependent on internet?

Internet is evolving and so is the world. We have printing services online, food online, medicines online. Aren’t we getting too dependent on internet. Recently i was looking for printing services london and found out that almost all the companies have moved online. Why so dependency on the internet? What happens if we lose internet and then? We will be like zombies
