Visual anthropological perspectives on South Asian society

While stereotypical illustrations of South Asian society permeate most of its commercial and official representations, amateur films and photographs often contribute towards an ethnographic representation of it. This lecture identifies several visual anthropological methods able to further new perspectives on modern South Asian society.
