If you have a question about this talk, please contact Jo Boyle. The choice of materials, but also the manufacturing of those materials for producing nuclear components results in properties that can be catastrophic. It is important for engineer to understand why we choose those materials and what may be the role of manufacturing in connection with the service conditions. We present a review of some components of the primary circuit and the secondary circuit in regard to the influence of material and manufacturing technologies on their behaviour in nuclear environment.
