If you have a question about this talk, please contact Mustapha Amrani. This talk has been canceled/deleted We discuss recent work of Andrew Morrison who provides a reduction formula for the motivic Donaldson-Thomas invariants associated to a quiver with superpotential. The method is valid provided the superpotential has a linear factor and it allows us to compute virtual motives in terms of ordinary motivic classes of simpler quiver varieties, such as the commuting variety. The main applications include explicit formulas for the motivic Donaldson-Thomas invariants of the orbifolds C x C^2/Z_n and the non-commutative conifold.
