This course will run as a reading/discussion group in semantics and pragmatics from the perspective of cognitive- and brain-science. Topics will include the nature of semantic representations in the mind and in the brain, lexical and sentential meaning, polysemy, ambiguity and effects of context on interpretation among others. Anyone interested in the issue of processing meaning is welcome to join in.
