When we think about “distributive justice”, we typically think about wealth inequality, income distribution, and access to basic political rights and liberties, etc. But could that idea of distributive justice be extended to knowledge, and is it useful to do so? This talk will offer a positive answer: I will argue that injustices in the distribution of climate knowledge undermine climate justice in the political sphere, and defend that claim using case studies drawn from my research on the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change.
