A plant developmental biologist, Andrew Fleming is Professor of Plant Science at the University of Sheffield’s Department of Animal and Plant Sciences. His research is focused on leaf form and function, exploring the mechanisms of shape change, how cell division and growth are integrated into this process, and the influence this has on the physiological function of the leaf, especially photosynthesis.
