What a tough year it has been for so many. Some people have lost their jobs, others have put theirs on hold and many have had to adapt to working from home. With a turbulent year behind us, what does the future hold for your career? Is it time for a change and what would this look like?

Joined by Tracy Busoli (Careers Coach, for scientists and medics) and Cathy Sobara (Greenpeace International, and was a neuroscientist), the workshop will walk through on how to develop your career.

The first part of the workshop will provide a safe space to help you (Tracy Bussoli):
  • Look at career planning from a different perspective, considering the role of chance in your future career
  • Reflect upon your values and how these can play out in your career
  • Reflect on your skills and experience thinking about whether these could translate to an alternative career
  • Explore the logistics of job hunting today.
For the second half:
  • Personal experience on career transitioning into different sectors and also different geographic locations
  • What motivated Cathy to make these career moves
  • How she approached these transitions, what worked (and what didn’t!)
  • Networking tips and tricks
  • How to stay motivated when you hit roadblocks and develop personal resilience

ALL WELCOME (all genders and non-STEMM).
