Former Lucasian Professor

Come to the Winstanley Lecture Theatre on 29th November at 6 pm to hear from Prof Michael Green, the former Lucasian Professor of Mathematics (2009-2015)! The talk will be a non-technical overview of the evolution of the modern physics, from special relativity and quantum theory to quantum field theory and string theory. These recent developments have potential applications to different areas of physics from what they were originally intended for.

The entry is free, and the refreshments are provided! The talk starts at 18:15 with doors open from 18:00. To find the venue, follow the signs upon entering the door opposite to the Great Gate or ask the porters.

This talk is part of the Trinity College Science Society (TCSS) series.
