If you have a question about this talk, please contact Dr Vivien Gruar. The Beacon is a state-of-the art labware platform allowing for physical manipulation of single cells using illumination (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6gTGJhja0oI). As the successful applicant, you will seek out and apply novel image analysis and machine learning solutions to fully leverage the power of this platform. Together with the data scientists and biology experts within GSK , you will improve the process of generating antibody-producing cell lines. The initial stages on the project will be to tackle well-defined challenges, with some freedom in the choice and implementation of the solutions. Once this work is completed, you will be able to influence the direction of your remaining work. This talk is part of the Cambridge Mathematics Placements Seminars series.
