Finding the best ways to mitigate climate change by a reduction in greenhouse gas emissions has become a pressing issue worldwide. But if adequate stabilisation of emissions fails, as seems very likely, it will force us to focus even more on how to adapt to climate change. These seminars will probe what will need to be done by governments, local communities and individuals, what can be done for the most vulnerable who live in poor countries, and what are the implications where population growth remains high.
