Historically, we have valued birds for their flesh and feathers and their symbolic power. Coinciding with the Henrik HÃ¥kansson exhibition, this one-day symposium, organised with Birdlife International and CRASSH , will delve into the cultural and ecological contexts of our conflicted relationship with nature and the significance of birds in the collective imagination.
