Abstract
I will begin with an introduction to the main types of rocket and the handling and properties of various liquid oxidisers. I will discuss the challenges of hybrid rocket design and some of the ways we are dealing with these in the hybrid development programme, including catalyst pack development, the 6-inch chamber development programme (including the development of the hybrid combustion model), http pump development, monopropellant testing and the development of the 18-inch hybrid chamber. I will include a general summary of Falconβs background and capabilities.
