We consider the Metropolis dynamics for the Ising model at very low

temperatures with a small positive magnetic field. We start the system

from the minus configuration and we study the relaxation of

the system to the plus phase, via nucleation and growth of droplets of pluses.

The talk will be non technical and it will be accessible to people not familiar with the Ising model.

This talk is part of the Probability series.
