If you have a question about this talk, please contact Amanda Sferruzzi-Perri. Miss Jolien Veldwijk will talk about her active involvement in projects in Afghanistan which encourage peace-building processes and strengthen the position of women in these countries. Details about Jolien: She completed a Master of Science Programme Conflict Resolution and Governance at the International School of Humanities and Social Sciences in Amsterdam. Her studies focused on the empowerment of women within the framework of (post-war) reconstruction. In particular she conducted research in Kabul, Afghanistan with Self Help Groups for Women.
