If you have a question about this talk, please contact nobody. OGGW02 - Actions on graphs and metric spaces I will discuss a group-theoretic procedure that simulates the effect at the level of the fundamental group of removing a closed geodesic from a hyperbolic 3-manifold, and can be thought of as the inverse procedure of peripheral filling for relatively hyperbolic groups. The main application will be establishing a connection between two versions of Cannon’s Conjecture, and I will try to argue that one of them should be less hard than the other one. Joint work with D.
