Women's Rights in Kuwait

Prior to joining Cambridge for a PhD in the Biochemisty Department, Nabil spent a year in Kuwait on a Fulbright Scholarship where he researched about the views of youth to women’s rights. He will share the results of surveys distributed to Kuwaiti university students and their implications for the advancement of women. He will also share insights gained from interviewing prominent individuals, including women activists, politicians, and students, on the recent entrance of women into politics. Finally, he will discuss the connection between the challenges facing women in Islamic societies and development.
