DESCRIPTION:Prior to joining Cambridge for a PhD in the Biochemisty Depart
 ment\, Nabil spent a year in Kuwait on a Fulbright Scholarship where he re
 searched about the views of youth to women's rights. He will share the res
 ults of surveys distributed to Kuwaiti university students and their impli
 cations for the advancement of women. He will also share insights gained f
 rom interviewing prominent individuals\, including women activists\, polit
 icians\, and students\, on the recent entrance of women into politics. Fin
 ally\, he will discuss the connection between the challenges facing women 
 in Islamic societies and development.
