The overall strategy of the NIHR Cambridge Biomedical Research Centre is to harness the strengths in biomedical science within the Cambridge University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and University of Cambridge partnership in order to translate fundamental biomedical research into clinical research that can be useful to patients. The NIHR Cambridge BRC is hosting a further round of lectures by experts from around the world. The lectures take place at the CRUK Cambridge Research Institute Lecture Theatre in the Li Ka Shing Centre on Robinson Way. Each lecture covers a topic from a broader theme reflecting each one of the eleven research areas studied at the Cambridge Biomedical Research Centre i.e. Brain Injury and Repair, Cancer, Cardiovascular, Dementia and Neurodegenerative Diseases, Evaluation and Implementation, Genomics, Imaging, Immunity Infection and Inflammation, Mental Health, Metabolism Endocrinology and Bone, Population Science, Transplantation, Women’s Health.
