If you have a question about this talk, please contact Miss Eve McCormick. Toni Shephard has spent her life working to reduce animal suffering. She has worked alongside organisations such as PETA and the vegetarianism group Viva! to improve animal welfare throughout the UK. She’s contributed to the closure of fur shops and pig farms, encouraged thousands of people to reduce their meat consumption, and documented the conditions of factory farming to increase public awareness. She is now Executive Director of Animal Equality UK, which is regarded as a “Standout Charity” by Animal Charity Evaluators, in part for their continual efforts to track and improve their own performance. Effective Altruism Cambridge and Cambridge University Vegan Society are super excited to co-host this event about animal welfare and the most effective ways we can work towards improving it. As always, the event is opening to all, including those not affiliated with the university. There will be time to chat with Toni after the event over free drinks and snacks. https://twitter.com/tonishephard?lang=en This talk is part of the Effective Altruism: Cambridge series.
