In mainstream film music adds a sense of drama, movement, poignancy and even portentousness. This symposium will look at alternative relationships between sound/music and image, and how artists and experimental film makers have used music as both source and subject matter. Speakers: Al Rees, Malcom LeGrice, Andrew Chesher and David Ryan, with screenings/performances by Anton Lukoszevieze, Jayne Parker and others. £50 (£25 conc.), includes lunch.
