If you have a question about this talk, please contact Dr Fernando Gonzalez-Zalba. The Society of Spanish Researchers in the United Kingdom and Hughes Hall College in collaboration with the Foundation Ramón Areces organise a seminar on the Impact of Research> “Publishing papers is just the first step of many towards making your research impact society”. In this seminar, we will explore the many ways excellent research can bring about positive impact in our society and economy and how sometimes these aspects are overlooked by scientists. We will have three experts on the field of impact with different experiences who will focus on highlighting the impact of science beyond academia in aspects such as society, economy or policy making. During the seminar, the speakers will discuss what can be done to ensure your research makes a difference and encourage you to explore, from the outset and throughout the life of your project and beyond, who could potentially benefit from your research and what you can do to help make this happen. At the end of the seminar we will have a round table where the attendees will be able to deepen their ideas in different aspects of the seminar. Speakers:
