Professor Francisco Bethencourt, King’s College London, takes a historical perspective on ethnic prejudice and discrimination across centuries. Professor Kalwant Bhopal, Birmingham University, examines the experiences of Black and Minority Ethnic academics and students in the British higher education system. The lecture will look at factors that have contributed to racism and discrimination historically, providing an opportunity to reflect on what could be changed today.
