Alejandro Vinao is currently our composer in residence at the Computer Laboratory. He is collaborating with Alan Blackwell, investigating possibilites for innovative notations that might be used to describe musical processes not anticipated in traditional music notation.
This discussion session will include a breif description of the phenomena that he wishes to notate. followed by an open discussion of what computational representations and notations might be suited to such processes.
