The talk will look at how events in the commercial industry found it necessary to establish their own self-regulation process in order to substantially improve overall safety and reliability. The speaker will share his thoughts on key principles of HOW self-regulation works, and WHY it works (or in some cases doesn’t work), to form the basis for concluding with how a similar approach might be applied to other industries that have heavy regulation and rely on the full trust of the public.
