In this talk, we will give you an introduction to the world of market making, where markets are driven by cutting-edge technology and state-of-the-art research. We will share our success story in how IMC became one of the key-players in the business. And… As we are a little bit different, we want to make this evening fun as well! You will have the opportunity to show us your market making skills in a live game… where winners will be rewarded!

Marc Reinhardt, PhD – Marc joined IMC as a quantitative trader in February 2016, where he mainly focuses on volatility trading. Before joining IMC , he studied Computer Science and did a PhD in Engineering at the University of Karlsruhe.

Pierre Bashshour – After successfully rounding off his internship as a Software Engineering Intern in 2014, Pierre works as a fulltime Software Engineer for IMC since 2015. He is part of strategy team where he mainly focuses on a smooth trading operation, execution and analysis. He studied Computer Science at Ecole Polytechnique in Paris.
