This month we’re looking at sensor networks. Hear from researchers building and using sensor networks for science and get hands-on in the afternoon working on a project. 12:00 Arrival and coffee 12:30 – Presentations and demos • Cecilia Mascolo on wireless sensor networks and Emotionsense • Helene Steiner on plants as sensor networks • Helen Pritchard on citizensense, a practice-based research project investigating digital sensors and environmental practice. 13:30 – Pizza (£4 suggested donation) 14:30 – Making! We’ll be building a PM2 .5 air quality sensor based on Arduino with citizensense. You are also welcome to work on your own projects.
