In the run-up to the 2003 invasion of Iraq, a fair number of Americans thought the idea was crazy. Now everyone, except a few die-hards, thinks it was. So what were the assumptions of those who planned and initiated the war? In his recently published book, Overreach, Professor Michael MacDonald examines the standard hypotheses for the decision to invade Iraq as well as their impact on the country’s politics. Please join us for a brief introduction to the book followed by a discussion.
