Longitude Prize 2014 is a £10m challenge prize offered for solving the problem of antibiotic resistance. Science Practice was lead research partner for its development, working closely with Nesta and over 170 experts in diverse fields such as aeronautics, robotics, water processing, agriculture, and medicine.

James King, director of Science Practice, will discuss how the team shaped the challenge, used design-led-research methods to ask the right questions, decide on the winning criteria, and reach a consensus from a variety of scientific perspectives.
