Markos Kampanis will be giving an illustrated talk on his paintings related to the monastic society on Mount Athos, both secular and religious. Landscapes, drawings, prints, book illustrations and religious murals shall be presented with the scope of examining their relationship to the art produced there during the past and the problems arising in creating contemporary art within a traditional environment.
