Talk by Geneviève Guétemme This talk will bring to attention the idea of mixed identity in contemporary France as experienced and shown by two artists: Armand Vial, French photographer and pied-noir, who chose to go back to Algeria in 2011, and Kader Attia, French of Algerian origin, multimedia artist living in Berlin. Both question their mixed French culture and some of the recent challenges facing French contemporary society.
