Dirk Pieter, is Associate Professor Production/Operations Management, Faculty of Management and Organisation, University of Groningen, The Netherlands. His interests are in Operations, including Supply Chains, Management particularly in the food industry. His research considers such areas as planning, flexibility, integration, information, and communication. He is also a reviewer for many academic journals in these areas. Dirk Pieter is currently visiting Oxford University’s Said Business School at the invitation of Charles Scott & Roy Westbrook whose work many of you will have read and admired. Dirk Pieter has also agreed to stay in Cambridge until the afternoon to lead a more informal session discussing his thoughts on topics close to his areas of research and interest. Why not come along and join the discussions. They will take place in Seminar Room B between 14.00 – 15.00 on Friday, 10th November. RSVP .
