Professor Stanley is a Fellow of Christ’s College and a Professor of Epithelial Biology in the Department of Pathology here in Cambridge. In 2004 she was awarded the OBE for services to Virology, particularly HPV infections and cervical cancer.
Her research interests concern the biology of the cervical epithelium and how and why cancer of the cervix develops. In this talk she will be recalling the story of the battle against HPV infections.
