How and why have we failed to make space readily accessible to mankind. In this talk, Steve Cutts discusses the strengths and weaknesses of the NASA shuttle and charts the history and the future of space travel.

Steve Cutts, a practising surgeon and space advocate combines his original training as a physicist with his knowledge of medicine in an attempt to outline the medical challenges of manned space travel both now and in the long term future.
