Pattern recognition and machine learning methods have become attractive tools for neuroimaging data analysis. In this talk, some basic concepts of pattern recognition and possible questions that can be answered using it will be presented. Comparisons with conventional statistical methods, clinical applications and perspectives will also be discussed.
