Hopping across boundaries: psychology, computing, music, technology and more…

Thurs 11th Nov 2010, 6 – 7pm

We have two inspirational speakers who have moved across disciplines within science and technology to talk about their work and what drives them.

Valory Batchellor began her long term career as a graduate in Psychology. 25 years later she is a senior technical professional in IBM and attained Chartered IT Professional and Chartered Engineer status.

Satinder Gill is a Visiting Scholar with the Centre for Music and Science, Faculty of Music. Her PhD was in Psychology and her research is into human interfaces with technology particularly in relation to human movement and gestures. She has worked in Japan and with Microsoft as well as Stanford, Cambridge and Middlesex Universities.

There will be plenty of time for discussion. Come along and be inspired!
