Many examples of Lino Mannocci’s own work have been inspired by Domenico Veneziano’s Annunciation panel, on display in the Fitzwilliam Museum and currently the focal point of an exhibition curated by Mannocci entitled The Angel and the Virgin. In this talk he will consider many of the themes of the Annunciation, and the importance of this festival. This talk is part of the Festival of the Annunciation, Fitzwilliam Museum series.
