Next week brings a truly special talk from Prof. Klaus Dodds, Professor of Geopolitics and Executive Dean for the School of Life Sciences at the Royal Holloway. He will be presenting delivering a talk on his recent book “Border Wars: The conflicts that will define our future”.   Klaus Dodds is one of the most influential geopolitics scholars in the world. A snapshot of his books include the authoritative Geopolitics; as well as the Global Geopolitics: A Critical Introduction; and has recently written his third Oxford: A Very Short Introduction.

Prof. Dodds received the Philip Leverhulme Prize in 2005 for his outstanding contribution to political geography and critical geopolitics. He was elected to the UK’s Academy of Social Sciences as Fellow, and has worked as a specialist adviser to the House of Lords’s Select Committee on the Arctic. He is the former trustee of the Royal Geographical Society, and his books have been translated into many, many languages.
