A CUHS Symposium

The Cambridge University Hellenic Society invites you to join a distinguished panel of AI experts from various disciplines to discuss the challenges, explore the opportunities, and speculate on the future of our AI-centred era.
  • Prof Ioanna Sitaridou (Professor of Spanish and Historical Linguistics, University of Cambridge; Co-Director of the Cambridge Centre for Greek Studies; Fellow, Tutor, and Director of Studies in Linguistics and MMLL , Queen’s College) will analyse the linguistics of large language models (LLMs).
  • Dr Nikos Erinakis (Assistant Professor of Political Philosophy & Philosophy of Culture, University of Crete; Adjunct Professor of Philosophy, University of Athens & Athens School of Fine Arts; Vice President & Director of Research, Think Tank ENA ) will focus on “Image & Logos in Digitality: Hyper-dialectics of Humanness”.
  • Dr Stathis Megas (Postdoctoral Fellow in Machine Learning for Biology, University of Cambridge; PhD in Quantum Gravity, UCLA ) will explore AI-powered drug discovery through his topic “Emergence and Spacetime: A Story Across Disciplines”. In the second part, Dr Orfeas Chasapis Tassinis (Fellow at the Lauterpacht Centre for International Law, Fellow of Gonville & Caius College) will moderate a panel discussion, which will be followed by a Q&A with the audience. This event is open to anyone interested in exploring and shaping the fascinating landscape of AI.
