The Cambridge Network is delivering a series of events in the East of England for the Electronics Knowledge Transfer Network to facilitate knowledge transfer between stakeholders in the electronics industry regarding trends and opportunities which will impact their business. Green IT refers to environmentally or sustainable technologies in computing, to enable devices to become more energy efficient, which can influence the design of electronics within those devices. Dr Andy Rice, from the University of Cambridge’s Computer Lab will focus on ‘Computing for the Future’ whilst Gary Hird, Strategy Manager for the John Lewis Partnership will illustrate how a large corporation has implemented a green IT infrastructure.
