Masterclass with Film Director Mitko Panov

Film writer, director and producer Mitko Panov will give a materclass during which he will speak about the process behind his short film “With Raised Hands” (1991 Palme d’Or at Cannes), his documentary “Comrades” and his feature length “The War is Over” which will be premièred at the Arts Picturehouse later in the evening (18:00-20:00). During the masterclass issus around memory, identity and the consequences of war will be discussed and Panov will talk about how he has constructed narratives around these themes through his work. Mitko Panov was born in Yugoslavia (Macedonia) and studied Directing at the Polish National School for Film, TV and Theatre in Lodz. He taught directing at the New York University Graduate Film Department (1991-1995), the German State School for Film and TV in Munich (HFF, 1995-1999) and is a founding member of the New York Film Academy (1992-3).
