If you have a question about this talk, please contact Adrian Dawid. After last week’s introduction to the general theory of persistent homology, we will focus on two applications to symplectic geometry this week. The first one is to Hofer geometry. Here we will discuss works of Biran and Cornea and of Zapolsky. We will also sketch a second class of applications. These are robust obstructions to a Hamiltonian diffeomorphism being a full k-th power due to Polterovich and Shelukhin. This talk is part of the A-side seminar series.
