The talk will introduce a general overview/framework on the shipping system in ice-covered waters and then break into some small-scope examples for managing some corresponding risks for ships in ice conditions (including an overview of the research we performed onboard the S.A. Agulhas II the during 2019 Weddell Sea Expedition alongside SPRI and ongoing, related work forming the basis of my current research visit).
