Petri Pellikka’s group at Helsinki University works mostly with optical remote sensing data, including hyperspectral and laser scanner. Over the last decade his focus has been mainly on land cover and land use change in Africa, particularly as a result of agricultural expansion and conservation, and its impact on water resources, biodiversity, climate and livelihoods. He is also Director of the multidisciplinary Taita Research Station in Kenya ( https://blogs.helsinki.fi/taita-research-station/ )
