On the discrimination of quantum measurements

When can we distinguish quantum measurements perfectly after only a finite number of queries? How to calculate the diamond norm distance between von Neumann measurements? During the seminar, I will present results on the discrimination of measurements with rank-one effects. I will focus on the discrimination of von Neumann measurements and SIC POV Ms. I will elaborate on three approaches to the discrimination problem, which are: symmetric, unambiguous, and asymmetric discrimination. All of these approaches will be considered in the single-shot and multiple-shot scenarios. I will consider both the parallel and adaptive schemes of discrimination assuming that we can use the discriminated channel a finite number of times. I will provide formulas for the optimal probability of correct discrimination and indicate when the adaptive scheme is essential for perfect discrimination.
