Dr Vikram Patel Director of the Sangath Society, Goa, India Wellcome Trust Senior Clinical Research Fellow in Tropical Medicine Dr Patel is a psychiatrist with a special interest in public health aspects of mental health in developing countries. He is the Director of the Sangath Society, a leader in child development, adolescent and family guidance, and behavioral and psychosocial health services, providing direct services and conducting research to benefit India’s 350 million 10 to 24 year-olds. Sangath is a winner of MacArthur foundation international award. This talk is part of the Cambridge University Global Health Student Initiative series.
