If you have a question about this talk, please contact . This talk has been canceled/deleted This talk is based on joint work with Charney and Morris-Wright (https://arxiv.org/abs/2007.12156). I will motivate the study of Artin monoids before outlining our construction of the monoid Deligne complex, which generalises the notion of Deligne complexes for Artin groups. I will discuss geometric properties of this complex, including the fact that the monoid Deligne complex is always contractible, with a locally isometric embedding into the Deligne complex of the corresponding Artin group.
