If you have a question about this talk, please contact Professor John Rust. This talk has been canceled/deleted POSTPONED DUE TO ADVERSE WEATHER CONDITIONS The Rasch model is widely applied and understood in educational measurement and has been extended into many other applied settings. It is not however widely known among statisticians (although it may be recognised in multilevel model terms) and many UK behavioural and social scientists have only limited traning in psychological statistics and the family of measurement models. Fortunately many of the most commonly used software platforms are now able to accomodate a wider view of psychological statistics including Rasch models. I wil introduce developments that are now useable in Stata for item factor analysis and Rasch modelling. I will concetrate on binary data and mention other softwares too.
