If you have a question about this talk, please contact Daniel Boutros. Hilbert’s Sixth Problem asks that continuum equations in physics be derived from axioms, that is, from microscopic particle interactions. We survey statistical approaches to this problem, and highlight the role played by propagation of molecular chaos in time. This talk is part of the Junior Analysis and PDE seminar series.
